For two decades, I climbed the corporate ladder, traveling extensively and building an urban life. Yet, amid the busy schedules, festivals became rushed rituals. We paid the price of modern success in a currency of disconnection, missing the vibrant cultural roots and warmth of extended family.

Everything changed during a long-overdue visit to my ancestral home. My family was showered with love by aunts, uncles, and cousins. For the first time, my children experienced the true depth of togetherness and witnessed the rich heritage and colorful native attire of our region. It was a profound awakening: festivals are not just dates on a calendar. They are our identity, our belonging, and the ties that bind us.
